Below are areas of focus for my campaign, but I look forward to hearing from Medford residents on other priorities and issues:
-
Medford’s streets and roads continue to deteriorate and residents take on additional costs through wear and tear on cars, while pedestrians and cyclists aren’t safe on our streets.
As your City Councilor, I will fight for:
Increasing crosswalk restoration and restriping;
Championing for a pedestrian safety audit with WalkMassachusetts to identify high incident areas and begin to address specific needs at busiest streets and intersections;
Assisting in allocating more funding for repairing potholes, impassable sidewalks and roads in worst condition;
Protecting bike lanes and identifying additional bike parking throughout the city.
-
With an advanced degree in financial management and my two decades of experience building revenue streams and allocating funding, I have a keen eye to budget oversight.
As your City Councilor, I will work towards:
Implementing a more transparent approach to the budgeting process and understanding of Medford’s most pressing needs;
Holding the Administration accountable to capital needs and planning updates - not just during “budget season” but year-round;
Championing for more vibrant squares and commercial districts through supporting our small businesses, incentives for small businesses, and streamlining the permitting process;
Ensuring fair and equitable PILOT (Payment in Lieu of Tax) agreements with Tufts University and our other tax-exempt institutional nonprofits;
Increasing grant identification and applications for our City projects and programs;
Identifying creative and new approaches to funding mechanisms to support Medford;
Growing our commercial tax base, as well as our local nonprofit sector to support local needs.

As an adjunct and staff member at Northeastern, I spend much of my day working with students, parents and their families as they navigate their college experience - I am passionate about supporting our School Committee in their work to constantly better the MPS experience, and support Medfordians at the beginning of their education journeys.
As your City Councilor, I will prioritize:
Supporting ongoing budgetary needs of the Medford Public Schools to increase technology and services for their students and collaborate with the School Committee on long-term budget planning;
Expanding our community’s mental health support and services, including unarmed mental health first responders;
Investing in our Library, from enabling competitive pay for librarians and expanding open hours and public programming through increased library staff;
Lifting up the work of our many Boards and Committees, and work with the Council on Aging to more closely connect and collaborate with caretakers in our community - especially those who are unable to make it to the Medford Senior Center;
Continuing to partner with other resources like SHINE, Meals on Wheels, and service providers to meet the needs of Medford seniors and families.
-
Our green space is our treasure - and all residents deserve to enjoy our outdoors easily, safely, and comfortably.
As your City Councilor, I will focus on:
Continuing to identify areas for a greener and more walkable Medford
Improving conservation efforts;
Expanding recycling, solar usage, electric vehicle charging stations, bike lanes and bike parking;
Supporting the work of the Community Preservation Committee and their focus on ensuring more open and walkable spaces in Medford;
Assisting with the update to the Medford Open Space and Recreation strategic plan that will begin for 2026.

Whether you rent or own in Medford, it is far too difficult to find affordable housing in our community. We must work to make living in Medford more attainable, for people in all stages of their lives.
As your City Councilor, I am focused on:
Supporting increased funding for the Affordable Housing Trust;
Working with the Planning, Development and Sustainability Department to further develop the Housing Buy-Down program;
Listening to the community to drive additional solutions for housing in Medford.
